Do you agree with U.S. President George W Bush's reference to Pearl Harbor in defending his policy on the Iraq war?

Police in south China fire on protestors, kill at least 2

Send to a friendPrint

BEIJING — At least two people have died in China's southern province of Guangdong after police fired on villagers protesting inadequate compensation for land taken away for wind-power plant construction, Radio Free Asia reported Wednesday.

By Tuesday evening, two men had died in a Donghua village hospital near the port city of Shanwei after being shot the previous day by riot police, the U.S.-based radio service said, quoting a hospital official. But the report also quoted a Donghua villager as saying a total of four villagers have been killed in the incident, with many others suffering gunshot wounds.

Could you please tell us what the Chinese constitution says about shooting at the protesters?

Remember this, US protestors

...next time you're in a marching and chanting about Bush being a fascist and waving signs with his picture and Hitler's...

1) You're not REALLY afraid of being shot, or your smelly hide wouldn't be out there to being with.

2) As I've always said, you wouldn't know a fascist if a communist knocked you down and held his boot on your neck. (No more Janet Reno references for a while. Taka13 cured me of that with his disturbing mental imagery.)

3) Capitalism is so bad, and we should try Marx's communism here, eh? Since the grass is so much greener in front of their rifles, why don't you give it a try? I'll even help you pack your patchouli oil.

make me wonder how there can be so many posters around here who openly support the PROC. Hell if I were Chinese I'd be the first to speak out against the CCP government.

Fascinating

JT's hard-left,anti-US regulars who post until they get blisters on their fingertips over every accidental killing of an innocent by US troops in Iraq are strangely silent about communists firing on a group of protestors.

Predictable, but fascinating just the same.

Why?

I remember hearing stories about US cops shooting at innocent guys, often a minority, outside a convenience store in a parking lot, and at night.

"Police killed 2 protestors" doesn't really tell you everything about the protestors or the police. What was it like at the scene? Was it 5 police vs 50 angry weapon wielding belligerent farmers? Is there going to be a higher level investigation into this incident? Will the officers be punished if found guilty?

yea... just trying to be objective, even though it was most likely the police's fault. So, don't hate me.
